  • Overlay type 121 is part of a new series of overlays developed to enhance pressure relieving abilities and providing better all over performance.
  • One side has a grooved profile dividing the surfaces into numerous single “springs”.
  • The grooves make the ViscoSafe very flexible and easy adaptable to the body shape.
  • The grooves also ensure an extreme good air circulation preventing unpleasant moisture and heat accumulation.
  • Further more the grooves decreases the risk for shear-forces when used in a elevation bed.

  • Overlay of 3 cm pink visco-elastic ViscoSafe foam.
  • Pink = medium
  • Suitable for weights 50-90 kg or BMI 21-25.

Application General Use

Decubitus Prevention

The Safe4Care overlay mattress type 121 is used for prevention of pressure sores and other kinds of skin damage caused by pressure and shear forces. Suitable for low, moderate and high risk patients. Bear in mind that a good pressure relieving mattress can not substitute repositioning routines and blood circulation stimulation.

Healing

Safe4Care overlay mattresses are also suitable as a support surface in connection with healing of pressure sores. Of course special consideration must be given to ensure total pressure relief of damaged skin areas during healing
